Courtney’s partner Darren contacted me wanting to set up a boudoir shoot for Courtney as a surprise 40th birthday gift. Due to Covid restrictions, she was unable to have a party, so instead they went away for an amazing weekend celebration to Mt Lofty House, and I was asked to capture some Boudoir images of Courtney in their beautiful hotel suite. How could I say no!?
Courtney and Darren are such lovely people and so great to work with. The shoot was so much fun! Courtney was a natural at posing and made my job so easy, and we were able to get some amazing shots showing off her tattoos. Darren was a fantastic assistant during the shoot, helping me move things around and clear the space for my shots, even helping me take one of the photos because I was too short lol. The suite was such a great space, filled with gorgeous textures, beautiful light, amazing views, and can we take a minute to appreciate that fireplace??
We captured so many gorgeous images, I wish I could put them all in this blog post, but here are some of my favourites from the day.
This is Courtney’s testimonial:
“For the last 20 years I have searched for a medium to highlight me and show my tattoos off but never found the right person to capture this. It wasn’t until my partner went searching for my 40th birthday present that he stumbled upon Renee.
From the initial email inquiry, to receiving the final pictures, it has been nothing but professional and truly memorable. Her eye for detail, how she was able to look at a single shot and change the entire mood of the picture by working with the lighting , my position and the room which made the final product even more amazing than what I ever imagined.
The fact she came to us, allowed the entire birthday weekend to be an event which both my partner and I will never forget.
Thank you Renee, for giving me everything and more in the final images & allowing me to look back over the next 40 years ……& know I made the best decision of my life.”

Photo above thanks to Darren! I was a smidge too short to fit the whole bath in the shot!
